Good News!

I have lots to talk about tonight....

First and most importantly....  I got the job at Salvation Army!!!!!!!!!!  Yay!!  Finally!!  A real job with a guaranteed 40 hours per week and benefits after 90 days and everything.  I have orientation on Wednesday and I start working that very same day!  I got the call today, went down there and talked to the head guy and it was really just a matter of formality and now it's a done deal.

My job title is Production Supervisor.  I will be supervising the clothing department in the warehouse.  There are about 30 girls that are actually in-patient clients working in that department so I'll be in charge of making sure the production is done and out on time and I guess overseeing the girls.

Only about 8 months ago I was one of the girls working in this very department when I was a client at Salvation Army!  I think it was really important that I stayed involved with Salvation Army and I went to Alumni meetings a few times a month and  I helped out with driving the girls to meetings on the weekends.  They were able to see that I am still clean and doing the right thing and they thought of me for the job.  I didn't even have to apply for it.  They called me!  I'm so so so happy!!

Second and almost as important (ha ha)....  My Ravens beat the Broncos this weekend!!!!!!  It was the best game ever.  I was home to watch every second of it and I couldn't be happier.  Now, we have our work cut out for us with the Patriots.  May the best team win!!

Third and also very exciting....  I paid off my remaining drug court fines today and I have my last court date tomorrow afternoon.  More than a year in drug court and I'm finally graduating at the end of the month.  Yay!!!!

Other than that, I played poker Friday and lost.  I also played Sunday and lost.  Oh well.  I had fun both times and I will continue playing in the Friday and Sunday tournaments at the clubhouse.  The price is right and it's a good time :)

My depression is officially gone!  Hopefully it'll stay that way for a while.
